Located on a 100-acre working farm, this family-run hotel is 10 minutes’ walk from Richmond Village and overlooks the historic St John’s Church. Guests can stroll through the apricot orchards. Hatchers is a 20-minute drive from Salamanca Market, which sells organic produce and antiques. It is possible to feed the farm animals and the hotel can arrange a horse and cart to take guests around the area. The Mount Wellington observation deck and Cadbury's Chocolate Factory are a 15-minute drive away and Hobart Airport is just a 20-minute drive. Free parking is available for guests.

After many years of operating Motor Inns in NSW and Tasmania, we found the perfect location and climate at Richmond for growing stone fruit and for a guest house.

We invite you to come and stay in our 100 square gothic revival Manoloor House. This grand house was the result of a life long desire to design and build a magnificent house on a farm.

Room information

Our rooms consist of 1 or 2 or 3 Bedroom Apartments. Queen or King size beds and singles in the 2 & 3 Bedroom Apartments. Most of our rooms have a kitchenette with bar fridge,microwave,Tea/ Coffee making facillities,Tv,Dvd,Cd Player, Spa in the bathroom, Elecric and heat pump heating except our Executive Suites which have gas fires.
Our Cottage is a self contained unit with full kitchen and laundry facillities.

Food & beverage

Enjoy your Breakfast,Lunch or Dinner in our Casual Dining Restaurant.
Our bar has an extensive choice of fine wines for you to choose from.

Area information

At Hatchers Manor guests can participate in the animal feeding daily at 8.30am, ride the Clydesdale Horse Carriage.

Within close distance of the Manor guests can experience the historic village of Richmond and visit Salamanca Market held on every Saturday.

A little further away, guests can visit Mount Wellington look out, Cadbury's Chocolate Factory, Tasmania Distillery museum tour, Cascade Brewery tours, Alpenrail Swiss model village and railway, Wrestpoint casino, Lady Nelson historic sailboat trips, Maritime museum of Tasmania and the Royal Botanical Gardens.

Travel information

We are situated at Richmond and only 25 minutes from the Hobart City Centre and the Hobart Airport. Approx 1.5 hours to Port Arthur historical site. Approx 2 hours to Bicheno on the East Coast.

Important information

Guests must inform the hotel if they are arriving later than 21:30.

Please note that horse and cart rides must be booked prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
One child under 2 years stays free of charge in a baby cot.
All older children or adults are charged AUD 20 per night per person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: 10 % VAT is included.
