Important Information

Please note that vehicles are not permitted on Rottnest Island. Bicycles are the main form of transport, and are available to hire on the Island. Short-term and long-term car parking options are available at the ferry terminals.

Guests must check in at the Visitor Centre, which is located at the end of the Main Jetty in Thomson Bay. This is the check-in point for the Rottnest Island Authority accommodation. A welcome pack will be sent to visitors 2 weeks prior to their stay, providing all the details needed for check-in.

Please note that all dormitory rooms include a pillow, a pillowcase and sheets. Towels and any additional bedding will need to be supplied by the guest. Please note that excessive noise is not allowed between 21:00 and 09:00.
